With the total area of 806 square kilometers, it covers 10 towns. Shunde has
1.095 million permanent residents, 0.6 million floating population and 0.4
million overseas Chinese nationals residing in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, other
countries and regions.
Shunde is situated at the river mouths of Western Pearl River and Northern
Pearl River. As it is on an alluvial plain, the land here is rich and fertile.
Shunde's climate is sub-tropical, warm, abundant rainfall and like the spring
all the year round. The annual average temperature and precipitation are up to
21.9 Celsius and 1626.8mm respectively.
